What is lazy eye or amblyopia?
Lazy eye or amblyopia is the most common cause of vision loss among children and young adults in developed countries, affecting approximately 3% of the population.
Is there treatment for amblyopia? Can it be cured?
Traditional medicine generally recommends early treatment until the age of 8 using a patch, and after that age, it is considered almost impossible or very complicated to continue. This application presents itself as an alternative and complementary method to the traditional formula.
What is AmblyApp and how does it work?
games that encourage visual cooperation between both eyes through a special color filtering technique which requires the use of anaglyph glasses and a correct adjustment of the filter colors.
What happens if I have strabismus?
If you have strabismus, then you should NOT use this treatment because it could develop into a problem of double vision (diplopia). However, anyone can play the games without anaglyph glasses just for fun.
Are the games also beneficial for adults?
teamwork and force them to work together. In fact, they are designed for adults who suffer from amblyopia and are willing to experiment with this therapy.
Is it backed by a medical authority?
No, it is not backed by a medical authority. It is an alternative therapy that has shown good results but does not replace professional advice. You should always consult a professional and follow their instructions. This application does not replace the work of a medical professional.
Are the games aimed at minors?
Yes, of course. The games are suitable for all audiences in terms of playability and content. If it concerns minors, they should be under adult supervision.
Where do I start?
First, go to the gear icon in the main menu. Take the color glasses you will use. Put on the glasses and select the color that corresponds to each eye.
What type of 3D glasses can I use to play?
The game works with any type of anaglyph 3D glasses. Just make sure to make the correct adjustment of the color filtering.
I have regular prescription glasses, what should I do?
You should use anaglyph 3D glasses (if you have prescription glasses, then you should wear the 3D glasses over them).
How long should I play each day?
The recommended daily playtime can range from a minimum of 5–10 minutes to a maximum of 10–20 minutes each day. You can divide that into 2 or more sessions of 5–10 minutes if you feel more comfortable. The most important thing is to focus during the workout time, so if you get tired, take a little break and continue later.
How long should I play to see results?
At first, I recommend playing between 10 and 20 minutes a day for two weeks to assess the effectiveness of the treatment. Afterwards, if you like it, you can increase the daily time if you notice improvements. Ideally, there should be follow-up conducted by a professional.
My glasses do not fully filter the colors in each eye.
If you have problems setting the colors after reading the instructions, it is likely that you have low-contrast 3D glasses. Higher-contrast (darker) lenses are easier to adjust so that the colors are invisible. With low-contrast glasses, you should choose a very bright color to achieve that. This is why higher-contrast or darker lenses fit better with the game. You can also try customizing the colors in the color selection until you achieve the correct adjustment. If it still doesn’t work, it would be advisable to use different glasses.
Can you filter the image with the correct colors?
These games can help you. With the correct settings, the applications can force the brain to use both eyes simultaneously to teach the brain how to process the image correctly. Each part of the image is filtered only by one of the two eyes, and this is achieved through color filtering when wearing anaglyph glasses.
I have found an error or another unresolved question or an idea to improve the experience.

It is currently not backed by any medical authority. You must be aware that you are not using a medical service. The responsibility and care for your health fall solely on you. Always consult a professional and follow their instructions if you consider it necessary. We are not responsible for any damage or loss that may arise from your use. The responsibility for how and in what manner it is used lies solely with the user. If you suffer from any serious health problem, you should immediately call emergency services or go to your corresponding health center. If you experience an eye or vision problem, you must consult an ophthalmologist, eye doctor, or professional optometrist first and follow their instructions.
This application focuses on an alternative treatment for amblyopia through games with the use of anaglyph glasses. However, you do not need anaglyph glasses if you only want to play for fun. Therefore, anyone can play without anaglyph glasses without any issues, whether or not they have visual problems.
Only those without visual problems or those with functional amblyopia, resulting from anisometropia (significant difference in visual acuity between both eyes) or corrected strabismus, can play with anaglyph glasses.
People suffering from uncorrected strabismus may face the development of a double vision problem (diplopia). In that case, DO NOT play with anaglyph glasses until your strabismus has been corrected.
We reiterate: visual therapy DOES NOT CURE STRABISMUS. If you suffer from strabismus, DO NOT USE our therapy until you have corrected that problem.
If the user of the application is a minor, they must be necessarily under the supervision of an adult or guardian responsible for their health and care. The responsibility for everything the minor does in this space, including any damages they may cause, falls on them. Otherwise, the guardian is also responsible for the unsupervised use by the minor, even if they were unaware of the existence of this page.
